were these pre war bikes?

ill get the serial number in the next day or two
just wanna get some info on it

i looked for numbers on the internet but couldnt find a year

ill keep lookin though
 
I have two 1950 straight bar schwinns and a 1953 ladys hornets and they all are skiptooth one has a sweetheart sprocket Tony 8)
 
ill try to have pics tomorrow

no skip tooth and i looked for serial numbers online but couldnt find any
 
I have a girls Hornet its just like the one in that ad, if I remember right the serial # on mine was on the rear dropout.

The Cabe, has a good list of schwinn serial numbers.
 
ok
serial number is A14684
it was on the rear drop out on the lft side
now
we have a problem
The Cabe says it is a bike from 1964
but
we have a felling thats not it
but
we checked skodas link for bunches o bikes and it said it is from 1951 which seems to early for the bike

BUT
i t looks IDENTICAL to the one in the ad
the very first one
same color and everything but my dads is missing the tank the light the truss rods and the rear racks

i wish i would have gotten em before my dad got the bike apart but i dint
and coan onle ony tell me why the rear sprocket is cut like that?
and the brake lever says new dpearture
also
with rear stayslike that can it take a 26x3?
