So my bike isn't finished yet. I've been working on and off on it for about a year and a half, here is my progress so far!
She is a Wasaga Vagabond from Home Hardware but I bought her all rusted out at a shady pawn shop. The grease ball actually had the audacity to tell me the bike had "low mileage" with a straight face.
Here is the bike as I bought it.
as you can see most of it was covered in rust.
I was biking home from my girlfriends place one night and one of these springs broke apart. So that was the first thing to be replaced.
most of this rust came off but the back is bad. I'm debating if I want to buy a new sprocket or scrub the chrome right off the back and have a one side copper sprocket.
I lied sorry the chain was the first thing I replaced. I think the previous owner let it sit out in the rain because this bike is fairly new.
I was biking through a parking lot and one of those concrete slabs broke my left pedal in half. The ones that I ordered took 6 months to come in and they actually had them for two weeks without calling me before I called them to see if they were finally in
This tire blew out JUST after i got home from a 30k ride.
The stem broke right after I got to the bottom of an overpass and went flying. I had to walk it home with no handle bars.
as you can see I replaced the chain, stem, seat, pedals, and rear tire, removed the stickers and cleaned the rust off.
I dropped the handle bars.
I just ordered creme coloured Fat Franks and they should be in Thursday after that it will get new rims, a 48cc engine, a tank fabricated for the upper space and finally I'll repaint her with "Holly Ontario"
