Help with my Truss Rods

Hi guys ! I have a 1956 Balloon Schwinn Wasp, which I was hoping to put some truss rods on.I went to put them on and the fender appears to be too wide and is stopping it from fitting.The fender doesn't have an indentation for the truss rods.They are 26'' as they do reach and fit perfect without the fender on.Can anyone give me some advice? Thankyou Charlie

Schwinn made front fenders with indentations for the truss rods and also ones without the indentation. Sounds like you need a different fender with the dents. Shouldn't be too hard to find. B607

Thanks guys.Don't have pictures at the moment, but will do soon :wink: Thanks B607, I will keep an eye out for some fenders with the indentations in.I have just finished painting the fenders I have got, which is a bit annoying, So I may stick to what I have and leave the truss rods for the minute.Thanks once again for the help!
