Help with Monark S/N

I have a firestone super cruiser...the serial is on a plate on the bottom of the BB:

A0428486

I come up with 1947 but that seems too early.

Anybody help me out?

I don't much about them, but I found this thread about the serial numbers. Rustinkerer seems to know.

47 on my list. The postwar frames were basically all the same. That is an aftermarket Wald chain guard though. -Adam

Thank you, Rustinkerer. I didnt think the chainguard was original but it looks cool until i find the right one.
