Hi -

I'm Dave from Wisconsin. I'm just south of Madison.

I've been pulling apart, rebuilding, repainting and messin' with bikes for as long as I can remember.

Here's one I picked up at a local thrift store's bike/record sale this weekend.

Coaster brake single speed Made in Austria Sears.

I'd hoped to use the coaster wheel on a '60's Robin Hood I'm building for my wife. Doesn't look like it's gonna fit. But I got a nice cottered crank anyway.

The Sears has a few nice features like a brazed on 3 speed pully hanger.

Once I finish a few other projects I'll figure out what to do with it.

It's got the right look so far. Ought to make a nice city bike.

Anyway, thanks for having me.

Hi Dave!

I hope you don't mind me hi-jacking this thread! I'm new from Wisconsin too. Not far from Madison.

Mostly a mountain bike background, but have found I really love a good cruiser. I picked this one up this week from that shop on east wash...

Nice!

I worked at that shop when it was Haack's for about a week in the '80's. Nice folks but I didn't want to sharpen hockey skates in the winter. Back then the owner had some really nice old Schwinns in the basement including one of the nicest Paramounts I've ever seen.
