Well put! ratty is nice, but finished is way better, just use the "attitude" of rat when finishing!
of course, i was always more of a "KUSTOM" guy than a "HOT ROD" one anyway...

Not sure what kind of seat it is. It came with the bike, so I'm guessing it's original. I decided to not have it recovered, just use the pan

I think you should have left it with the flapping canvas held on by electrical tape. That is about as rat as it gets.
