hand cranked klaxon

Hi everyone! Newbie here. This is such a great site, lots of cool ideas. I've been searching for pictures of dismantled klaxon horn, I'm trying to recreate one the ratrod way hehe. I'm having a difficulty at the stud in the middle of the diaphragm cause i haven't seen the inside of it. hope someone could post some pics. thanks in advance, happy building!

I don't have any pics. but I have disassembled klaxon horns for cars and the stud is just a short bolt threaded onto a nut inside the horn. I did a quick diagram showing this. The ribbed wheel turns against the end of the bolt producing the sound. The bolt can be adjusted from the outside. I hope this helps

Thanks BigKitty! That's a big help, i'll try this one. is the nut welded on the diaphragm?

I don't remember if it was welded or if there was actually a second nut on the outside...I am sure either would work unless someone else knows better than I
