For sure dont make the same mistake I just made . If you use a top tube with a bend at about 6'' and then straight it will look alot better. Take a picture of it side ways and then play with the bar with photoshop or something.

luckily the head tube piece wasn't extra long like most normal girls bikes...
So I just had to cut the top tube

Then I had to bend some tubes...I bent the first one too much.....Oh well

Wow! A conversion very well done... I think the change is going to be very subtle and that no one but someone very well versed in bikes is going to know that this was cut and converted.

yeah, very nicely done.

my dad just told me this weekend about his first bike.
this was in 1948-1950.....
his dad found an abandoned girls bike in the woods.
he cleaned it up real nice, welded a horizontal top bar to it, and gave it to my dad.
an early bike sex change.
i thought it was an awesome story.
