I bought a 48cc round head from Simpsonmotorbikes.com

Here's what I am doing with it right now. They are TOO MUCH FUN!!!!! I highly reccomend purchasing one. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING!!! Check Motoredbike.com for some really good info on engine kits.

Rusty513,

I have had no personal experience with that particular kit. There are lots of people that have used that kit and others at Motoredbike.com. You will find all the info you need there.

Hi guys, sorry I haven't chimed in sooner, my comp is on the fritz right now. Thanks Dan for jumping in with the info. The 80cc was designed as a "truck" motor, they have around 3.5hp but does not rev as high as the 2hp 48cc. I personaly have tested 5 diffrent types of these engines and the 48cc roundhead tthat Dan has is the best one I've run. If your set on getting an 80 I would reccomend http://www.kingsmotorbikes.com/index.html he has been around for awhile and I've been told his engines tend to run a bit faster. For the 48, get it through http://www.simpsonmotorbikes.com/ . I would stay away from most of the e-bay sellers because you just might end up with crap...Kelly

Are there any YouTube videos of these bikes in action?

Would be interested to see how they go and how loud they are.

Heres the link to the roundhead http://www.simpsonmotorbikes.com/SkyHaw ... 20Kit.html . If you talk to Mike, tell him I sent you. RR, yes there are YT videos, jst search for motorized bikes and you should find then. They sound like souped up weed eaters although the roundhead seems to be a little quieter...Kelly

Thanks for all the info guys. I ordered the 80cc engine from Kings & just got it on Friday, hopefully I will have it finished in the next week or so.
