Score! Years on the hunt for a Runabout to redo and finally a local one showed up. Still had the original tubes in there. Brown like a coffee spill. Paint was beat and was poorly applied at the factory. Maybe they would have sold more if they didn’t pick terrible paint. Not that I did much better.. I did commemorate and left a bit on the seat tube with the bike shop sticker. 1 day teardown and paint. The idea of a doing color on the cantilevers and leaving the seat and down tube silver motorcycle tank style was something I had wanted to try for ages. Then that bit got left…not sure how I like it. I also wanted to see a wingtip done like a car fin & painted it silver on both sides. Not sure how I like it either…maybe just leave a thin silver outline and color the center. Needs more blue fade further up the rear stays. Bike is fun…brakes are needed. Cheers!
