Greetings,, I have a question since Im still a novice.. I have a Schwinn Krate style frame that I am building on (pics will be posted) Its going to sit on 20s with a 90 degree low fork .. my question is does it have to be fixed speed as it came or will i have enough clearance for multispeed .. like a 5 speed.. It came as a fixed and wanted to know if there will be any issues before i bought all the parts to convert to 5 speed... is it worth it?? will it cram my lowrider looks, or will i have limited choices on rims?? thanks...

If ya mean what I think ya mean, you should be able to.....as long as you have somewhere to mount a rear brake. I did this with a cheap donor 5 speed little bmx thing

..used the wheel, derailer, and a different thumb shifter. Heres the donor:

Check garage sales, resale or Goodwill type stores and youll probably find one cheap. Why dont you post an intro with some pics and youll get all the help ya need. Welcome, Mark
