Ok, this is my first attempt at a rat bike, i usually build cars, what inspired me to do this was the ad for the cabin fever rat rod bike show in maryville, then i stumbled across this site. let me know what you guys think.i will load pics shortly.

I started with a BARN FRESH 1965 juventis bergamo giro d' italia tour de france special .
i started by cuting the front forks off, and using some from a
donor bike, i welded them on horizontaly to lower and stretch the front end.

i was kinda wanting to do a board tracker look, so i had the idea of fabing a fake tank.
i made the tank out of a old camaro door i had laying around, i made the template out of card board, then transfered it to the metal.
here is a shot on the ground before i started the tank fab.

i added the old chain to the spine of the tank, to add to the rusty look.
i am making a headlight for this thing out of an early ford mirror.

i hope to have this done feb 11th for the cabin fever bike show, i plan on hauling it in the back of my rat rod.

I am digging your fresh style and skills. I haven't seen forks done like that. I like the headlight too.

thanks kingfish, i am having a blast with this build, it cost absolutley nothing(just like my rat rod car) built out of scrap. im hooked on these bikes now, already planning another. :shock:kingfish254 said:
