Faux oil tank

I needed to carry one of those little 4oz bottles of oil on my China girl in case I ran out of gas on the way home from the park n ride. Everything I tried looked awkward. I found this tin in my cupboard full of tea bags. I had it mounted on the bike about ten minutes later.

Are you gonna paint it or leave it as is?

I have been mulling over how i want to paint it. I was thinking of painting it hammered metallic, to make it look more like a cast piece.

I don't know whether you can actually achieve this with paint, but it'd look sweet if it looked like it was made of brass

What about painting some seams and putting in some rivets?
