Eliminating Gears

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about rat rodding an old beater deraileur bike, and I'm curious about whether or not I can reduce the front gears to one while keeping multiple gears on the back. Can I put a single sprocket on without taking all the gears off the rear hub?

yup, you can do it.

you might be able to seperate the two front sprockets and just use one...
itll have to be a ten speed type sprocket for the chain to work.
