Thanks Kram, I knew that I would like the tank over the seat tube, but it did make me wince just a little as i was cutting it off.:eek:

...I'm also looking forward to see how I will mount the seat. Right now I don't know.:confused:

Looking forward to your "pencil visions".
LOOKING GOOOOOOOOD

Do you know what handlebars are going on there as I think that will give you some clues to how your seat will need to sit... I'm thinking this is more of a lean over the tank style ride for this bike.

I'm still looking for the right bars, but low and flat is the direction I'm leaning in.

Something like this Noah's Arc Bar...

Last time I peeked in here the bike was still on page 1, man o man what a week can do for some people !!! You sure have a knack for amazing ideas and the means to take it to the last detail RM :113:

Un-(a lot of Oil Patch/Flightline/Salty Sea Language) Believable!

:praise::rockout:

I'm in love with this bike, or at least as much as a human can love an inanimate object.

I just hope your real name is not "Edward Smith" from Washington State I think you are fine....

For those that are curious, you can search for that name and "Airwolf" (the 1980's Helicopter TV Show). After seeing this guy on BBC America (BBCA), my childhood memories are forever scared...

Thanks again everyone (and ifitsfreeitsforme).:cool:

i-boy, the aluminum seat pan is a great idea and goes perfectly with the theme, but I've already got my saddle picked out.

There's something about well weathered leather that seems to go with vintage speed. And a veteran Brooks B-17 garners respect among racers! No fancy trim, no cushy springs, just business.:aggressive:

Here's the Drag King racing saddle...

How about some shapely brackets that match your drag links clamped to the seatstays?
You are right on track with what I've been playing around with on the computer!
