I should have written about this before.
My wifee and kid and I went on this downtown San Antonio bike ride with at least 87 other bike riders.
Very casual.
No spandex.
We meet at 9:00 on the last Friday of the month in front of the Alamo.

Here's scenes from the September ride.
I took my '38 Wester Flyer.
It did GREAT!
I remember it as though it were a meal ago.....
My friend Jimmy "The Bike Jedi" from the Blue Star Bike shop and his fixed gear.
First stop...invade Valero on Broadway near Sam's Burger Joint.
Spot the Spaceliner.
Cooler trailer with a stereo in it.
Me and my wifee.
Went Alamo to Josephine to St Mary's to Ashby to Flores to Frio to Guadelupe to Houston all the way to Tucker's on the east side.
Neat place. Very welcoming.
We invaded the patio as inside the club was straight out of a Tarrentino movie.
Al Green was probably playing.
Another fixed gear (there were several) with burled walnut painted looking wheels.
Beautiful.
Then back up Broadway to Sam's for a late night snack.
Neato Electra.
Me and my boy.
We had a blast and will be doing it next month too.
It reminded me of my VW gang's monthly cruise.
Bunch of like minded freaks traveling in a pack.
"It' not a race" yet some do.
Great times!
I'll take a different bike next time.
