They claim these things are stronger than most other frames, but a mountain bike with a mesh frame just looks scary.

I'd be worried about the thing cheese-grading my thighs in a crash. Still though, I can't help but stare at that kitty.

I already have a carbon fibre Jamis Xenith road frame that I ride nervously over pot holes, that would give me nightmares if I had to ride it CC... Not to mention getting rocks, twigs and small mammals caught in the open frame.

the mammals go in the cage!

1.8 lb frame in a 56cm size. wow.

here's a vid from interbike with a dude jumping on a lattice tube section

I wanna see him bounce it off the curb at about 20mph.
There's no such thing as too light, weight is easy to ADD. Early carbon bikes were definitely prone to snapping, no doubt they're better now. I have seen high-priced alloy frames break as well. I'm just saying,... Don't wreck!

Isnt that extremely unsafe to have a member of the public jumping on a round tube? Could easily fall pretty hard and get really injured. I saw one of those frames in person. Really awesome....

Woah! I'm speechless...as someone who will likely never own a carbon frame bike, (unless maybe it was a Bowden Spacelander replica), that site is hilarious, if a bit scary. Fascinating, though. Bikes should be made out of metal, plain & simple.
