Re: DELAERO #369 Tragedy...build will continue

I know that the lost napkin won't do me any good ....so I searched files to find inspiration....so enjoy, first off deco...things that I want this build to be and now what I would really like to accomplish and these two, well I thought they were interesting This last one is just BAD!!!!

The little blue one was cool until I scrolled down to the Double Whizzer.

Re: DELAERO #369 ...Slow start, but progress

With all the safety osha approved equiptment lost in my garage, I did find goggles, I wire wheeled most of the paint off the frame, but the air compressor was starting to get real hot so I didn't quite finish yet, plus I had to make it to my LBS before he closed to tap some threads on my fork so it could be shortened I think I need a bigger garage as all this has to come out to actually work in it

Re: DELAERO #369 ...Slow start, but progress

Very little update, I decided on some old Schwinn wheels with a skiptooth drivetrain, and of course a Bendix hub, the forks and wheels are at the machine shop being bead blasted,I still haven't decided on tires and I need a chain still and lots of sheetmetal, and need to order my pedals, I might actually get this done in time

Re: DELAERO #369 ...Slow start, but progress

June 16 2010 Barstow, California..... a renovation of a defunct airport hanger (demolition) as the walls came tumbling down and the dust settled, some scavengers decided to scour the remains for anything worth saving, as there have been rumors and legends of welder flashes and explosions and mysterious happenings coming from this hanger at all hours of the night for many many years, it was also rumored to be the skunkworx operation of Vincent Bendix. but the only evidence of Mr Bendix ever being here was a single paint can with the faded writing Bendix # 369,,,, and the only other thing that was pretty cool was a faded sign ....red letters over white DEL AERO
cropduster service while this was not a well publisized event ,the biggest thing is the color as once thought to be silver and maroon , it is now discovered to be Bugatti Blue with cream and silver , so the restoration continues...

I wish I could say this will be built in time , but the bike deserves to be finished correctly, and I am not going to rush it like I have done in the past, its not the end of Delaero #369 just a little more time to let paint dry, plus if I ever get to do the fenders the way I would like, I am looking into some hours. So good luck with the rest of the builds out there..
