I got lucky on craigslist yesterday. Found this '74 stingray and a yet to be determined Schwinn cruiser. I couldn't believe the condition of the stingray. There's some surface rust, but it seems to be completely original. I started cleaning it up last night and aside from some acceptable pitting, the front wheel came out great. The cruiser is definitely older (serial # F 818446 is on the left dropout), but I haven't been able to figure out the year yet. I'm sure that the chainguard, tank and wheels/tires are repops. The tank is just too nice, and the wheels are s2's with a shimano rear hub and schwinn typhoon cord 2.125 tires. No rust on the rims or cracking on the tires. I think I'll be able to flip it to my buddy to recoup some cash. The stingray is staying with me!
