The second frame down in the frame pictures (The straight bar CWC frame, rust with a blue overcast and a blue-ish fork (the fork is a replacement for the original)) is a 1941-42 Cleveland Welding built “Tall Tank” frame they are fairly rare and were the top of the line model for CWC at that time.

I’ve recorded about 15 of these bikes, a few originals, a few restorations, and some project and parts bikes so far and have 4 serial numbers in my data base. If you don’t mind posting or PM’ing me the serial number off this frame it would be a welcome addition to my CWC data and CWC production date model.

The other CWC/Hiawatha badged frame below it is a postwar 3-Gill from 1947-1949. and the CWC/Western Flyer with the springer is from 1950-1953 (and the Blue frame at the top of the frame pictures is a prewar Huffman frame)

Great Haul, Cool frame, and thanks!

WOW, great scores!!!
My favorite is the Western Flyer! Gotta love those forks!

Hi, thanks for the serial numbers, the four 1941 “Tall Tank” bikes I had recorded so far were only about 4500 units apart. Your frame is about 30,000 units early than those so it spreads these bikes over a wider time period in my data. I would peg the frame as being from summer or fall of 1941.

The other CWC bikes fall in the ranges I noted. To tighten it up a bit based on the numbers, the 3-gill frame is probably from 1949 and the bike with the springer is from 1950/51.

Member 37Fleetwood might be able to weigh in on the date for the Huffman frame as he has been documenting their prewar serial numbers.

Again, thanks for posting the numbers!

IM going to say the dayton frame is a 41 because of the curved downtube and no welded on kickstand, and the seat clamp is part of the frame.

Thanks for all your kind interests in these frames.
Here is a better look for the record with the info that you all provided:
