convert generated tail light to battery

Anyone know what it takes to convert this light below into battery power?

It says its wired for either.....but not sure if it has a battery pack

The ones I've seen don't have a battery pack, just wires coming out. So like they say you could use it with either generator or battery but you still need the power source either way.

Assuming it'll run off of a typical generator, then it must be 6V. So, you'll likely have to connect it to a 4-cell battery pack. You can get them at Radio Shack; I'm sure that you could run the tail light off of 4 AA batteries and it would be fine. OTOH, if you really want a battery that will last a long time at the rate the bulb will draw current, a 6V lantern battery will work... :mrgreen:
