I wanted to keep my Columbia RX-5 as close to stock as possible, but it's too hard to pedal. I decided to switch the Bendix single-speed hub to a Bendix red-band 2-speed kickback hub, and now it's so much more fun to ride! I also changed the headlight to a more appropriate one and added a vintage Massachusetts bike license plate.

Were you at the last Coasters ride? I think I saw you there.

My buddy Michael has the same bike and hits every CC ride, so you probably saw his RX-5. I've only taken it there once (May), but I'm going to try to make the August CC ride.

Ah, that must have been it.

Great work, fabulous ride!

Gonna find me an old Columbia one day!

Sweet bike. Only seen an RX-5 once in person. Its a wild bike to ride. So smooth, and it feels like your riding on...yes on...a tank with how well built they are. Great lookin' bike.
