I'm only 30min. away from the Packard museum. They've got a few of these there.

Nice find! I believe they used the same chainguard through 1941. Also, they usually have a 2 digit stamp aside from the serial number, sometimes perpendicular. The second digit is the year, so if you find a letter in front of that 1, it's a '41. -Adam
