Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

For thick bricks, you need 24 inch rims, and really the only two problems with motorizing it would be keeping the tires clean and possibly drive chain clearance.

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

ok thanks....i looked a little more into it and im just going to buy the "quick brick" ires instead

Re: Cleveland Welding mystery bike

another update...no pix...

changed my mind on the color...im gonna be going with a dark red instead...that orange was wayyy too much

sent my rims to be trued at a bike shop...picking them up on thursday also ordering my cream colored "Quick Brick" tires

i realy want a tank for the bike so im gonna be making one out of wood....it gonna be wide once its done being made and i know it will fit im gonna cover it with bondo to smooth it out and it will be getting painted as well.....i was thinking about putting "Indian" logos on the tank but im gonna see if i can have someone make them say "Taylor" instead (my last name)....ill post pix as soon as i get the frame and forks painted

Re: Cleveland Welding BTR *Paint*

tires come in on the 11th need a laid back seat post (what size is this frame?) and i need to re paint and re cover my seat

Re: Cleveland Welding BTR *Paint*

Bike looks great, digging the beehive on a BTR-style setup.
To find your seatpost size, if you don't have a caliper to measure it with, use an adjustable wrench. Tighten it around the seatpost until it's snug, then measure the distance between the jaws of the wrench. Chances are it's either 5/8",13/16", 7/8". Or someone on here has to know the size of a CWC seat post.

Good luck on the rest of your build.

Cheers,
Dr. T

mixing it up...holding on to the beehive but swapping it out for a truss rod fork bought from Dodgedart using this copper as the trussrods tho need a few things to make it look just right ohh and the frame will be getting powder coated in the future
