That's just plain BAD! NICE work! I really like this build! Everything is just right. What's the hub? It sometimes looks like a Sturmey and then sometimes looks like a Bendix Manual two speed... though those never had a chain shift... the shifter is Bednix, correct? Please explain! This bike deserves a real thorough write up!
Edit: I also am drooling over the wheel discs... they just clip on? Can I ask where you found those?
the hub looks like a new depaurture 2 speed to me but with a bendex 2 speed shifter. very cool bike the disks just make the bike did you make those or are they moon?
With all those stuffs the only thing I could do was dry lake racer, more fun than a museum bicycle.
I used 2 New Departure hubs, a rear model D and a front model W.
To obtain a most powerful engine, I (finally succeed to) use a 1949 New Departure 3 speed conversion kit.
I fell in love with ND conversion kit when I saw the first 2 speed model on a Sears prewar catalog.
These are not stickers but decals.
I use Inkjet White Waterslide Decal Transfer Paper (with a coat of crystal clear spray varnish) and my Huffy Flaming Stack scanned decals sheet and other old decal found on the internet.
The pipe was first a vaccum cleaner pipe but I found a Strato-jet exhaust pipe that looks really cool.
Here on yeshoney Luxury Liner.
thanks for the ideas, moon has great stuff but man overpriced! just some moon stickers cost 5 bucks or more. plus those water slides look way cooler. thanks for the linkage on the disc. i've got to order some now.
great bike, i love it, but i dont think its a good idea to have full front wheel, it is dangerous, if you go too fast it is like sail when you turn(i dont know ho to write it, english isnt my favourite subject)
naw that sounds about good. im kind of scared cuz of the same thing. but the bike looks awesome! im totally jealous! and im diggin that sweet sprocket!
