Guys,

Thinking of doing a sealed BB and 3pc crank conversion on my KK Moto Glide. I love the GT chainwheel though. As long as I get crank arms that have the pin or bolt for the chainwheel, I should be able to retain it, right?

Thanks!

the hole isn't always the right size but spacers are easy to get.

You mean the hole on the chainwheel or the hole on the crank arm? How can I make sure that the threaded nut on the crank arm matches up with the spacing on the chainwheel?

Would there be any way to use a sealed cartridge type euro bb with a conversion bracket and still be able to use a bmx crank? So far, I've only seen the cartridge bb's with square taper spindles and not the 8 spline spindles that most bmx cranks require?

You'll need a hat spacer to fit the 15/16" bore of the GT sprocket to the bmx crank's spindle, which will likely be 19mm, 22mm, or 22.2mm....some are 20mm. Go to porkchopbmx to get the hat washer you need.

Most BMX 3piece-compat BBs are sealed. You'll need one for an American bb shell that matches whatever spindle your crank will be running. Usually, the cranks come with the spindle.

Yep; specifically, you want to select "Option A"

Yep again, and you can select "AMERICAN (+$19.99)" under "bottom bracket type", which will save you a few bucks by obviating the need for the redline BB set, linked below.

(You won't need this if you select the American BB with the Saker 3piece crankset)

Now, get yourself some 9/16" spindle pedals (if you don't got some already), and you're ready to convert!
