OK, I am in charge of making a helmet and wings for my 3 yr old's Buzz lightyear costume. I've got handle on the wings but not the helmet.

Any ideas on where i can find a large clear plastic globe type thing to make one or ideas on how to make something that will look the part.

Nothing but junk online.

Maybe try a plastic fish bowl??

Try some thick clear poly sheet or cellophane. Drape it over a basketball over or something larger and heat with a hairdryer or heat gun to get the appropriate shape. Then place velcro on the bottom corners and a strip across the top edge. Make the wings so it holds the top edge velcro.

Don't know if this makes sense but my son has a spaceman costume with the same set up.

i've run across clear plastic salad bowls (large party size) at the home goods store.
good luck! post pictures when you're done

i doubt you'll find a fish bowl large enough to fit over your head (even harder to find a plastic one that big.

i have a more costly option, but a darn good one.

i picked up this large animated fortune teller from walmart. 14" globe $19.99
