These bars were the original plan. More sweep, moto crossbar, chrome, what's not to love?

Oh yeah, that stupid bulge... Still looking for an aluminum gooseneck to make it happen...
Also have some nebulous plans for dual looks for the fish, but this fork has resisted several attempts at bending.

Been trying to make a mascot type thing happen as well, but I'm still not feeling it:

I filed down the wrenches so they fit better and can be bonded together. I guess I'm committed, they're pretty much ruined for any other purpose now.

Cute but stupid. Is this stuff my style? I dunno

Waiting for some sunshine to get the final pics; deadline #2 is today. Woke up to freezing rain this morning. Winter/spring builds are a struggle up here. Ignore all of Ingola's success, his hood is warmer and sunnier than mine. Or something

No I build it over the house

Voting closed? Lol here's the warts. I missed a gigantic spot on the bars

I'm terrible at painting. If I cared, I'd probably redo it. And if I did, I might paint the stem cap. As it stands, the current look is really growing on me. Not sure it I'm going to put forth the effort to get the chrome bars on there.

I'm in a bit of a funk: the test ride I did a couple of weeks ago is my only ride so far this year. Gotta get rolling on something

Didn't take any pictures, but I also shredded the seat cover when installing. The holes on the inside of the sissy had rough edges, ripped the vinyl in several spots. Stickers might be the answer. I like the black, but there is also a retro option possible:

Might have a line on a nos 2 tone CCM nanner similar to above that would be too nice for a Thundrrr bike.

With the Build Off ended, got some time to work on those things that were really bugging me. So I decapitated the Fish.

I really need to get the brakes worked out. Brakes are good. So I'm going to throw on a new cable and some new shoes. I have a brand new set of Tektro v brakes somewhere, but I think that's too fancy for this bike.
Also gonna spray those bits I mentioned before

Beautiful day for a spray!
IMG_20220909_104023521.jpg

Shook up the appliance enamel and hit it three times.
IMG_20220909_104039136.jpg

Even wearing gloves, still able to get it all over my hands
IMG_20220909_102435217.jpg

The usual streaks and smears, so it'll match the fork I painted

New pads installed using the trusty Parks BCBPAG1.
IMG_20220909_121245389.jpg

Seatpost clamp returned to forward bolt position.

I get the same results with all of those appliance grade enamels
I dunno. Painted part photography fun. This is deep:

Two looks, which do you prefer?

The ride is a gazillion times better with the fat Tire on the spoked wheel. I just am not a muscle bike guy. BMX for life
