Hi all,

This no-name Schwinn knock off was free at the side of the road and began its life as a five speed. Ostensibly built for my 12 year old kid, over time I've added paint, decals, wheels, handlebars, bobbed fenders, old Norco panniers, converted the vintage-style lights to LED, and made the tank plate from a piece of aluminum (I've got a second piece for painted version). It’s been fun. --Todd.

Thanks guys,

The taillight is pretty simple. I took it from a squeeze type spoke light and siliconed it to the reflector of the old tail light. It runs on a coin battery and has flash and solid modes. I pop the whole thing in and out of the housing in order to turn it on/off.

The headlight is also simple using a stubby, 7-LED flashlight. I had to cut out the rear of the housing to accommodate the length and it provides easy access to the switch. A length of tire tube sealed the whole works from the weather and holds it all tight.
