Great photos as always Randy.

I recognize the People's Choice Kustom Bike winner....he's always at the swap meet here in Dallas each year. :D

I parked next to him last year.

You guys put on an amazing event. I hope our local rides slowly get as big and organized as yours. Can I ask what you do to advertise? I put ads on Craigslist, bike websites, and the local bike shops. What else can I do to spread the word?

You and Speedy, thanks for coming! Glad you enjoyed it. Were you the ones with the Dyno Roadster and the trike? I wish I had more time to chat and check out the bikes but there is just to much going on and needing attending to that I hardly get a chance. Thanks for sharing the video.

necessaryevil, we do all that you mention and in addition we also notify the local papers, post fliers in bars and restaurants in areas where people are likely to ride a bike to. Also posted fliers on bike paths. Reciprocate advertising with other events that might attract bike people.
I should do a lot better job on the promoting than I do though. I don't know that attendance was up from last year which makes me think I might be slacking.
I think it's great we have people like Speedy that'll drive 3 hours to attend our event. We even had one person drive over 5 hours.

I'm guessing word of mouth and the website are our best promotional tools. When I decided to start this event the first thing I did was register a domain and set up http://MidwestBicycleFest.com I've since combined the bike fest and club website together as the Coasters have become involved in it now and it's not just a one family production anymore.

i love the "babysave" pic randy. im imagining an Arnold Schwarzenegger "TAKE MY HAND" voice shortly followed by an explosion in the background.

as always thanks for the pics, and looks like a ton of fun !!!

My grandson doing the limbo on the custom Pixie we made. Proud to say he and his siblings are the the 4th of 4 generations of my family that participated in the festival. From ages 4 to 74!

This young fellow tried the limbo on my bronco/rodeo bike. Timing is everything.
