275 MI. From home. It was a beautiful day and the seller was a pleasant gentleman with the kind of voice you know has seen his share., a little jawing later, I'm in the room with the selection hanging and there she is. '40 Murray built Hiawatha Curve Mast., wasn't quite love at first sight but the price was right and I already had plans churning.
A little Before & After for you all.
Saddle swap, bars and stem, wheels and fender straightening. Lubricant. Better chain. Proper tension and a few wall slams later to get that fork back proper,. And some new Rib Walled Chain Tread U.S. Royal originals.
She's already a looker but still has a few quirks to work out. Not shown is the matching two step up front I changed the evening after this ride.
I'm thinking a high flange in front and a DD in back before I'm through with the mechanics.
Currently scouting for a Dropstand. Like hens teeth, lately..
