I went drove a couple hours away today to run some errands and help my Mom with some stuff and I planned on picking up a Schwinn Cruiser with a 7 speed nexus but it sold before I got there But ! that meant I had room in the pickup and an extra $100 in my wallet so I bought this thing !!!! Its a Manhattan Bullet which is some kind of modern Chinese cruiser, but the main reason I bought it is because it's aluminum ! The frame, handlebars, seat post, and 3 piece crank are all Aluminum, the fenders, and fork are steel.
I was hoping the logos were going to be easy to remove, but sadly they seem to be silk-screened on, or clear-coated over The welds look pretty OK-ish, and the worst part seems to be the dorky flimsy kick stand.
Anyone ever used one of these for a build before? I have a Schwinn Point Beach Aluminum frame, I wonder how this compares?
