Any Idea What This Is?

Hey guys. This frame has a really mangles headtube but I couldn't pass it up. Any ideas what it may be? It has the the following tags on the bottom bracket

Mid-50's Murray? I think the MOV prefix indicates 1956, if my research is correct. Don't fret...there are tools to repair that headtube damage quite handily. Things could be much worse.

Your local muffler shop probably has a tool like this that will round-out the tube with just a few gentle taps.

Afterward, a bike shop may or may not have a headset facing tool that shaves off the lumpy stuff to make things perfectly flat & square.

That facing tool is NOT CHEAP, so many shops are not equipped with one...shop around. Worse comes to worst, you can always use a sharp file, a try square, and a good eye.

Yeah...looks like somebody held a "pry-party" to get the old cups removed. No doubt damaged those, too.
