Picked this 81 Mongoose Motomag frame up today.

It has a "Supergoose" downtube decal, but the other "Super" details aren't there...like the flat drive side seat stay or the "T" in the serial number.

Didn't give much for it so it was a good deal regardless.

Man that thing's been through the war. Mongoose, Dyno, Magna, and god only knows what else. Still cool build material though. Reminds me of what I'm working on. Mine's got parts from 3 different Schwinns, Sears parts, Huffy parts, Aftermarket parts, and maybe a few custom parts.

This one is already down to the frame hanging on my work stand. The rest of it made its way into the trash.

I think everyone in Irving had a Mongoose at one time  . Super decal came from Lindmans which is now a pawn shop, I still go there.

Had some spare parts that I decided to throw at this morning...ignore the Brooks seat... :D

Just need to get this dad-gum seat post out. :x

Tried a different configuration of parts that I had...still no luck with the post...ha ha.

May have to try the torch approach at some point.

Not sure that I'll keep the bikes this way, but it was mainly to see how things would look.

I know the black bars are period correct, but I just don't like them. Too small. Other than that, the forks, stem, Motomags...awesome!
