This is a bike my sister found for me. It's a Schwinn Predator Pro.
It's not a bad looking bike...but, I don't want/need another bmx and I've had some ideas floating around in my mind to do with it. I like that the bmx frame is simple, or basic. So, I want to take that a little further.
I swapped out the threadless fork for a threaded one off a parts bike so I could use a mountain bike stem and handlebars I have left over from my Raleigh M20 "A Serious Ride" project.
Next, I have an idea for a layback seatpost using pipe fittings. And I'll top that off with an older Troxel seat I have.
Then, I'll strip it down and paint it semi gloss black.
Last, finish it off with a set of wide whitewall tires.
It will be part BMX, part mountain bike, part cruiser. So, for now I'm calling it an MTX Cruiser.
