'71 Schwinn Racer Path Racer tribute.

I've had the complete bike since I was 12-13. Im 31 now. Nearing 32. I took it apart almost immediately and didn't know how to re-attach the shifter cable.

I hung it up roughly 18 years ago in my parents shed. Now here we are.

Flip the stock bars & take off the grips.

Thought about some shorter aftermarkets for a bit. Didnt look right.

Added so local Sons of the American Legion love.

Added grips.

I didnt realize but the saddle brackets arent compatible between old Schwinn and new saddles.

Bought a knock off Gyes saddle to see if I can make leather saddles work for myself.

Basically all set.

This weekend was July 4th. Beer must travel. Old kiddie trailer converted to better use and lowered.

Now I go riding!

Nice work! The Schwinn paint and chrome really shine. And you can easily put it back to original easily. I like the lowered trailer too.
