I picked up a 1962 Schwinn that needed a lot of help.
I had a bunch BMX parts that I was going to use for another build but I like the 62 Typhoon frames so much that I decided to use them to make this cruiser.
The bike was originally black but the paint was in bad shape so I went with gold, blue and chrome.
I wish I had taken some before and after photos but I started pulling it apart as soon as I got it and forgot to take any.
One of my friends had a new Sturmey Archer 2 speed kickback so we laced it up to the old Araya's I had.
Still needs a little cleaning up here and there but overall I'm pretty happy with how it all came together and it rides great!

How do we really know this really is even your bike?:39:

Seriously though, Very nice work and great frame choice.
It looks like an awesome ride.

Thats cool. I just found a 60's double straight bar typhoon that I am picking up on friday. Also going with a bmx feel on mine. With a touch of old school hot rod. Good to see a bmx fork fits and looks great. Sweet this is just the project I was searching for.
