Found this 51 Columbia 3 star (i think "Deluxe") on Craigs list for $250.00.Now i just have to figure what im going to do with it. this bike is very original which makes it hard for me to totally rat it out. Im open to ideas. It has everything except the horn (has a crome piece inside) and the strut plastic tips? see pics below.

Super find and it cleaned up great.

Thanks Brian. I guess my deal not working out with our boy BCT worked out for me. Took that doe, added a little and got this one.

So glad that at least you were able to get something back (via PayPal) from Big Con Tattoo.

I think so Redd? copied this off "Daves Vintage Bicycles"

Columbia / Westfield Bicycles
"Westfield Manufacturing Company was a leader in the bicycle industry. Many of the bicycles sold by the Sears Roebuck and Co. were manufactured by Westfield (although not exclusively). Sears bicycles such as the famous 1935-8 Elgin Bluebird were made by Westfield. So was the 1934-36 Elgin Blackhawk and Falcon among many others. Columbia was the in-house brand name for the Westfield Manufacturing Company"

Kinda what i thought Mad Brad but got to do a little somethin. Have the same issue on this bike (have original bars and chain guard not shown) but on this one i am painting the color only (satin enamel) and leaving the patina on remaining paint and nickle plating all the chrome components from hubs to handle bars. Oh i am leaving the spokes and rims patina for contrast aganinst cream bricks tires that give it some awsome contrast. We shall see.
