Custom Krate....Never done by Schwinn, just customs by collectors.

Coal, Grape and Blueberry are myths for most serious collectors. The decals can be bought on ebay and all the other parts are interchangeable. That particular bike look pretty nice....to nice to be original.

Here is the photobucket album with that bike. I can't say if the LV owner is the same guy.

Check this pic from the album. Same bike, newer pedals and no decal.

I think somebody built it just like the Grape Krate in the collection

The Ebay one says "Koal Krate", the craigslist one says "Coal Krate" on the chainguards. I think the actual factory prototype definitely said "Cole Krate" in honor of the Ignaz's great grandson, Cole. Look it up, its true....
