Figured I'd start build thread for my new ride! I was initially told it was a 1969, but after pulling the crank and running the serial number it's in fact a 1968! First year for the krates! The frame has been repainted, color matched pretty well, but seeing as it's not original I am pretty sure I am going to repaint it. Chain guard looks pretty good. I think I may keep that original? Your thoughts there. Chrome will be all redone. Anybody know of a good shop that's bike friendly? After some friendly help here and then research it appears as if I have a semi-rare seat post? It's a POGO post. Hopefully it straightens out a bit and cleans up nicely! The fender on the outside cleaned up pretty good. Rusty on the inside though... Luckily the '68s
