1960 Columbia "61 Special"

Just picked this guy up off ebay. This is my first project I cant find too much info on this specific model. Are they that "Special" with not many survivors? Any info the group can shed would be awesome.

That looks like it's for a reflector or a generator maybe..?

Hello from another Newton! Technically a 61 Special was sold as a 61 model, though the frame may be dated 1960. I believe there was a 62 special too, but that was about it. -Adam
