1957 Schwinn Wasp kickstand

Ok, so I've got this 1957 Schwinn Wasp and I bought a kickstand on eBay, but I'm having a hard time installing it. It seems the kickstand diameter is bigger than the hole for it below the bottom bracket.

Anyone know if there is a size difference with the early Schwinn's? Or am I doing something wrong?

Brackets are all the same...'46 until the factory burned. Your kickstand must not be an original Schwinn part. Gary

Ah good point. I checked out some YouTube videos on this and their place to put the kickstand in on the bike is solid. Mine has two slots going through it.

I'll post some pics later this weekend.
