just came across this the other day. ROUGH. Top tube is fried. It looks liek the top tube was underwater for 20 years. Weird. Seatpost is likely stuck forever and the seat mast is cracked in three places.....oh well. Still cool. These dont come up very often.

Maybe the heaviest bike Ive ever lifted! all heavy duty butted steel. I was gonna rip this thing apart and make a 3-bar BMX cruiser-style bike out of it but this thing is all intact. I dont think its very old, yet it was left outside for a time and has some rust. Im not sure Im gonna do...

So, Im wanting to do a 1x7 (or 8 or 9...depends on the rear wheel I find). Does it mater what kind of front chainring I use? Im wanting to use an old school 44T BMX sprocket up front. Type of chain? Sorry, Im drivetrain/chain dumb.

I'll be picking this up tomorrow. Anyone ever build one up? Looking for suggestions.

I need to widen the dropout on the fork so it'll acccept a non-slotted 3/8 axle. Anyone ever done this? Dremel? Yes, I'd just replace the axle if I had one that is slotted, but I dont and I wanna do this this evening after work. the bike is here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=61443&p=592403#p592403

I got this pile in a trade. I have plans for it. So far Ive just put on a different sprocket and aired up the tires. Rides great! Suggestions welcome. anyone here ever heard of a "Performer" beach cruiser? before:

I just ordered a cool hairpin saddle but I can already tell that the part where the seatpost inserts is gonna be way too large for the narrow seatpost Ive got. Is there some sort of shim out there? What about replacement guts? Suggestions?
