this is my newest project, on its way to fixed-gear stardom. posted in my infamous m.o. of "not finished". 80's "sturdee" road frame, cranks converted from cottered to 3-piece, 700c alloys with white/black vittoria tires. i got the seat from an old bike nut nearby. gearing will be 52-16...

my take on the buzz bike

this pic is from the day i picked up the frame/fork. i decided not to use the wcc wheels, the front didnt clear the fork and the axles need to be replaced- a job for some other time. and here it is now, with chrysler hemi orange paint. i tried to keep it as simple and sanitary as possible...

    finish one trike, start another...

so here's unfinished business, pretty much finished. i sold it yesterday to a guy who builds custom wheelchairs. and i started this one today. for those of you arizonans who frequent larry's, you might have seen this frame sitting in his lot. the tank was welded and the headtube...

    "Unfinished business"

a promising project, but true to it's nickname in the lack of completion. i color matched the rear-end to the already painted frame. questions/comments welcome.

    "Honus Wagner"

first off, i want to say that brian (tempeterror) is building a similar tank for his RRBBO bike, and i dont want anyone to think i was copy-catting. i found this bike on the side of a house, and the tank was already there. coincidence? anyway, here he is, completely finished. For anyone...

    "Jalopee"

here goes, my entry. here's the base- a cruddy mountain bike... i was so glad this thing has semi-horizontal drop outs instead of some mountain bikes with vertical... here's my inspiration for color scheme, to give you an idea, a turn-of-the-century elgin here's the crank i...

anyone ever heard of a "sturdee"?

i got an old 10-speed for free yesterday. the only identification is the headtube- it says "sturdee", in the lettering and oval shape of a schwinn headbadge. any ideas as to what this is? pics on request.

    austrian sears bomber

ive been into nice original frames lately, havent been doing much painting. anyway, here she is. probably made somewhere in the 70's. washed her, flipped the bars, removed hand brakes and replaced the original 5-speed rear wheel. not done yet, i need to go get some tires...

    cargo-bike project

not finished yet, as usual. its a well-worn 80's schwinn sprinter, outfitted with some baskets i had laying around. the red grips and checkerboard seat were also collecting dust in the parts bin. im going to convert it to singlespeed with a re-dished rear wheel and a bmx freewheel, and reduce...
