    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

I couldnt find stencils for the frame. There is a company making stickers - but they were the wrong color. I found pictures of frames that I gave to the frame builder - and even bought an old Schwinn fork with the correct paint for him to match and mimic. The darts were hand painted on the...

    Checker Pig?

They started out as a snowboard company in the late '80's early 90's. Then they got into bikes. Pretty sure they were all made in Asia somewhere. They are still making bikes - no longer snowboards.

    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

I had a local builder/painter do it. The previous owner had sandblasted the frame - which ruined the faux-fillet brazing on these bikes. That fillet look is actually lead that's been melted on, then sanded. Lead does not like being sand blasted. So we had to remove all of it. Refill the welds...

    The best seatpost for klunkin?

Danke. I know there are others out there making posts from steel and aluminum. - But it's always cooler to DIY and the juxtaposition of modern carbon on a 1938 clunker is humorously ironic - so why not?

    The best seatpost for klunkin?

Yah, I'm going to force additional epoxy through the gaps to make sure there is contact between the carbon and steel, the whole way. This is probably one area where resin transfer mold would work better than pre-preg. But that's what I had.

    The best seatpost for klunkin?

I'm building a clunker from a 1938 Schwinn and havent found a good strong seatpost for it, yet. I bought this cheap chromoly one, which is known to bend and decided to try and reinforce it with carbon fiber. I keep carbon pre-preg in my freezer at home as it's a great tool for fixing stuff...

    Bay Area Pin Striper?

Yo peeps, I am building a 1938 Schwinn Cantilever Autocycle Deluxe into a klunker. I have Ed Litton cycles modifying and painting the frame. It's going to have OG paint, but Ed doesnt do pin striping. Anyone in the bay area want to help do the pin striped on the darts? Or do you know anyone...

how to adjust morrow coaster brake?

Yo RRB. I recently overhauled a Morrow rear hub - and had to tear apart the non-drive side of the coaster brake - as the drive side cones wouldnt come apart. Well, I got everthing back in the right order. I think. but there's a few parts in there that need to be put back just right. Initially...
