i sandblasted it and gave it back to my cousin and let him know what i found out from here
when he got it there was a schwinn head badge on it......HA!
sandblasted the frame today. it uncovered another set of numbers on the opposite side of the head tub

so its a 1968 Murray
now to figure out the model
im getting closer
i thought it would be a murry, a higgins flightliner its very similar but its slightly different. the two holes on the pointy drop outs and the top tubes overlap the down tube.

this is my cousins bike. his dad gave it to him
its at my house because im going to sandblast it tomorrow so he can get it powder coated

its a 26" frame

Once you have everhthing in place put weight on the front end so it compresses the spring then align the bolt with the hole and just get a few threads screwed. Then just tighten with a wrench a socket

i sanded off all the crappy rustoleum "clear" and i sprayed duplilcolor clear....which is AWESOME!
i used two half cans(small cans) so they equal one big can i guess
came out perfect, i left it...
paint day
base went down perfectly. nice and even. i was excited and was loving how it was comming out
then i shot clear.............AGH!
rustoleum is crap i hate it. the clear wasnt clear at all. it was milky! sprays horribly no way to spray it evenly. tons of runs and orange peel city...

so today all i got done was some prep work
sprayed with aircraft paint remover. the bike has been painted every color of the rainbow. the paint remover was working to slow...
busted out the sandblaster and went to town

all the welds are brass? it looks really cool
cleaned up...
tore down the bike
took it to get fitted for new headset and bottom bearings. bought a new black greenfield kickstand, gloves, paint stripper, self etching primer, paint (the color is stainless steel), and clear. tomorrow im going to paint it
