    lemme see your dragsters

here's my other dragster. this is a Giant Stilletto chopper. it;s pretty much stock except i added a 700 c front wheel with a skinny ... road bike tire. I added a big slick to the rear. I mounted a stick shifter to the top bar of the frame, and cut a slot in the fake gas tank for the shifter to...

yep, it started out as a bratz lowrider.

    lowrider turns drag bike

I got the custom vinyl decals for my chain guard today. I designed them and my friend who works at a vinyl decal making company, made them up for me. I put this one on the chainguard a little while ago. they aren't the same scale as original schwinn chainguard lettering. I had him make the...

    lowrider turns drag bike

I took it for a ride today and according to the digital schwinn speedo, I got it up to 32 mph...not sure how accurate the speedo is tho. But i can tell you, I was hauling ... ! the caliper brake did an excellent job of bringing me to a stop, but again, I was on a straight road with no traffic...

    lowrider turns drag bike

Nahhh, don't need a front brake, and besides that, there's no where to mount one unless i go to a disk. when i ride this bike (or any of my other motorized bikes) I never ride anywhere but around my neighborhood (that happens to be a one mile circle). there's no traffic or pedestrians. Right...

    lowrider turns drag bike

I already posted this in the "builds" category, but I forgot that there was this category "bikes with motors." so for you guys who only come to the bikes with motors category, here's my drag bike. It started out as a Bratz lowrider that i put the engine on about 3 years ago. I got bored with...

    lowrider-turned-drag bike finished.

it only tops out at 32 mph. If i went to a smaller rear sprocket i could probably get 40 mph out of it, but then it would lose some bottom end torque. since i can't really peddle this thing due to the bottomed out seat, I need all of the bottom end torque i can get to take off with it....lol

    lowrider-turned-drag bike finished.

yeah it's a bratz bike that i picked up a few years ago for $30.00. beleive me it;s a blast to ride like this! 20 mph feels more like 40 mph. it's a good thing that i'm a little guy (5' 6", 150 pounds)because if was any taller, or heavier, i'd never be able to fit on it ride it.

    lowrider-turned-drag bike finished.

nahhh, the frame would have to be raked to make it look right in my opinion, and i'm not going to cut the frame.

    lowrider-turned-drag bike finished.

well, it rode ok with the stock ape hangers and stock front spring. But, i got a better quality (a real schwinn) spring and cut 2 coils out of it. This stiffened the front end up quite a bit and lowered it at the same time. This bike is actually easier to ride with the drag bars than it ever was...

    lowrider-turned-drag bike finished.

I got my 20" drag bike finished (it used to be a lowrider). I got the exhaust all welded up and wrapped with header wrap to give it more of a drag bike look. I'm just waiting on the custom chain guard decals to come in the mail. I took it for a ride a little while ago and wow, it is a blast...

    new custom chain guard decals

Thankfully I have a really good friend who is a graphic designer for a vinyl decal making business. well, i gave him an idea for a decal to go on the chainguard of my "schwinn stingray" drag bike, and this is what he came up with. first, here's the bike (still in progress) here's the vinyl...

Sears Spyder Rat: RIP (see Chimera Chopper)

Re: "Quickie" Sears Spyder Rat Build you mean like this? this is a bike i recently finished and it has a 24" x 3" rear wheel with a 3" wide slick on it. The front wheel is a 700 C off of a road bike with a very skinny, very low profile front tire.

making some changes to one of my bikes

well, i wasn't happy with the speedo gauge face that i originally made. i had to shrink the moon logo and it got all pixelated....Not good enough for me. The window that i cut in the gage face to show the speed wasn't very straight and the lens was pretty cloudy. I made the first lens from a...

making some changes to one of my bikes

well, the bike was actually a little harder to ride with the ape hangers on it. with the lowered front end and the drag bars, it's actually easier to ride. I'm a little guy (5' 6" 150 pounds) so it's easy for me to ride a low, small bike like this. yes, the exhaust is an expansion chamber with a...

making some changes to one of my bikes

Re: making some changes to one of my bikes..update I got the rear fender mounted(had to make a mount for it) and I chopped about an inch off of the top of the frame's seat post tube to lower the seat in the front. I made a cool speedometer out of a chrome bullet headlight that i had. I had to...

making some changes to one of my bikes

yeah, but the thing is no one makes this engine anymore. It's a typical china 49 c.c. 2 stroke, but it doesn't have the standard intake manifold (tube) that's common on 99% of these china engines. the carb on my engine is bolted right to the cylinder, which moves the carb about 4 inches closer...
