Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-build) First tube was the old tube. The next one the old tire was dry rotted and ripped open and then the tube blew up with a loud bang. The third I ran something over. As for the chain I shorted it and it worded so thanks for that :idea: It also rides smoother...

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-build) 5/2 Took seat apart and painted flat black. Then friend came over and sanded down most of the front fender and part of the body. Painted rear fender and chain guard blue. The last thing added was a new chain that's a little to long but if I take a link out...

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-build) 4/28 It did not ride too badly in the afternoon so I worked on the bike some. First got rust off of pegs and painted them flat black and gloss true blue :D . So the bike with have gloss true blue base coat with flat black detailing once paints all off :mrgreen:

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-build) 4/23 Got more paint for the bike. I had four cans of spray can paint that is until my friend shot an arrow into the can and it blew up. So down to three cans, but that's still a good amount. Also removed some more of the old paint

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-bulid) Thanks. When I got it, it didn't have anyway of looking it up because someone had pained over everything 4/22 Got new chain for the bike and chain breaker.

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-bulid) 4/21 Put the new tire on the bike and filled it up with air. Found out that rim is out of shape.

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-bulid) 4/20 It did not storm like the weather said it would :D . So I biked 16 miles and got a tire to match the front tire. So tomorrow it should no longer have a flat tire. Also I'm going to leave the chain guard red because it look great red on blue.

Re: Big Blue ( First ever re-bulid) Just a restore of it. My plan is to find some blue paint. Then use some old black I have for detailing. I just need to find the blue that is in my head. The bike awesome tho it sits on 26 inch mountain bike tires and rims. But I keep getting ideas for head...

I only own two. One is a newer NEXT mountain bike. The other is an old murray ratrod that I love riding.
