Has anyone out there painted a sprocket? I was thinking a flat white, but wonder if it would peel or wear off from the teeth. Or would it start to look nasty from the chain grease? Thanks

Just got this off of CL for $50 bones! Does anyone know where i can find info on the year? Coast to Coast was a hardware store. The chainguard says Coast King. I doubt it is anything special, but thought i should find out before i start hacking away. :) thanks. Adam
