    The promise....huffy thunder road rat

I think the angle of the photo makes it look more extreme than it is...the seat post on the frame was cut flush and the seat is bolted straight to the seat clamp....

I think everyone is going solely on the tires but they very well could have been changed at some point since the wheels are definetly older than 1962....also none of the rickshaw type wheels are clinchers like these.

Trust me im a research hound, i love it. I took the solex suggestion and ran with it till it ruled itself out in the details not matching up....they look an awful lot liked pre 1907 Alldays and Royal Enfield type bikes

Plus, every velosolex bike ive looked at all the way back to the first 1946 model, none had clincher type rims. All appear to be regular style rims....

    Early dating challenge!

There is nothing else with the wheels just whats in the pictures. Im not banking 100% on the tires in dating these because they could have been changed at some point. Especially since the company that made the tire on the front didnt even open till 1962....but the rims are clearly much older...

Plausible, but the spokes are alot thicker than that of one of those solex's.

Honestly the grease is so thick...its like decades of grease and dirt and old repaints...im scared to ruin any kind of history that might be left.

    Early dating challenge!

The wheels are extremely heavy clincher type rims, the spokes are very thick and they are much to built to be bicycle unless its very early bicycle. One rim has a flat hoop and the other is raised center. The tires are literally petrified and rock hard but one says Ken Da Rubber Co Ltd and the...

Actually on this one i went with fat tires front and back...theyre 2.40 bmx tires from Duo. I do agree though, i was intending on a stingray style springer but it just seemed too easy, too cut-n-paste....i never intended to run the stingray straight fork but it turned out looking so good i...

Well my few watchers here she is for today.....installed complete bottom end, pieced together 3 different chains, chopped the top of the seat post and bolted the seat straight to the clamp, installed some dumb pedals i had laying around. For flair i added an original mobil badge to the front...

Ok mock up time: I was originally rocking the 63 stingray fork just to roll it around but im actually starting to like it....what'd you guys think? Flows really well with the front downtube...

Well i wasnt gonna post a build thread yet but what the heck....this is gonna move a little slow since im always busy. So ive has this frame for a little over 20 years...my late father and i used to junk yard hop for cruiser frames and came across this one in a pile of stingrays. Since i didnt...
